Patience is Virtue
I remember how it was in college a few years ago. I felt like my love life was pitiful. Throughout my teen years and even throughout college I was painfully shy and had never had a "real" boyfriend. I think it was mostly due to my "good girl" image. I never smoked, drank, partied, and was still a virgin. All of my girlfriends were in serious relationships or were guy magnets and I always wondered, "Why not me?".
All of that changed during my junior year of college. I was in the library one night when I ran into a guy named Marcus getting off the elevator. I knew of him though I didn't know him very well. Regardless, I was intrigued by his cool and collected demeanor. We made small talk and he told me that he was just coming from bible study (brownie points!). After that we became friends and spoke often.
Things between Marcus and I turned romantic during the fall of my senior year. He was the perfect gentlemen. He always kept his committments and never did silly things like others guys had done in the past (i.e. playing games). He was very straight forward about what he wanted. Things only got better over the next year and we are happily still together. I know this story is probably not as exciting as the others on this website but I hope it provides hope for someone who is still looking. I know that it probably feels like forever but I promise you that God will send you someone...Patience is Virtue.
